She went serious with I KNOW WHO KILLED ME, and did a brilliant job with that! It was great to see her showing her versatility! With Cruel Intentions, Sweet Home Alabama, Pleasantville, Best Laid Plains, unbelievable in American Psycho, Vanity Fair, Walk The Line -The June Cash story which she amazed so many at how well she pulled off being the complete opposite than the adorable blonde she is! This bit of her filmography would not be complete without mention of Just Like Heaven starring with Mark Ruffalo!

Rest In Peace: Brittany Murphy
November 10, 1977 - December 20, 2009

While Brittany is not still with us, she will forever live within those of us who loved her movies, how versatile her rolls played and the fact that her characters were so believable she put herself in with full force and as mentioned played the best friend of Drew Barrymore (Bev), she was perfect as Fay Forrester.
She was that actress that I'm adding last but not least in this hub due to her being one of my move favorite actresses, her death was tragic and untimely I must admit I might be a bit bias and want to list all of her movies, but I'm going to put them in the order that just put me in a mindset that her talent will just live on forever as she could play the zany, lovable best friend in Riding With Cars With Boys, to the silly and cute, but drug user in Spun who had no problem walking away. She played a mental patient as Daisy in Girl Interrupted along side with Winona Ryder and Anglina Jolie. Twice the mental patient, regardless of what they say, to me both starred in Don't Say A Word, along with Michael Douglas. She played the daughter of a psychiatrist that held a secret and after watching him be killed in institutionalized while another doctor tried every trick in the book to obtain the information she held. With her wisdom, knowing to try to stay in there regardless of the horrible treatment they put her through she was staying safe by learning the new traits of other patients that would keep the doctors confused and keep her inside the institution! An amazing performance!
Furthering herself in Just Married, and growing up again in UpTown Girls with little Dakota Fanning! She donned the big screen with the tear jerker The Little Black Book and Abandoned.

Along with Brittany's long list of movies, she did many many voice overs for Happy feet, King of The Hills Luanne Platte. Hopefully her last film to come out August 2011 Something Wicked will make it to the big screen. Another psychological thriller, sure to keep us on the edge of our seats!
